3i is a world leader in private equity and venture capital. We are active across all stages of funding. From early-stage venture capital to growth capital and buyouts, we invest €1.5bn a year in some of the most exciting and ambitious companies in the world. We are dedicated to value creation. Our purpose is to substantially increase the value of our portfolio companies and then to realise this value, both for ourselves and for our partners, through trade sales and stock market listings. Our track record demonstrates that we have consistently achieved this - even in the toughest of bear markets. 3i's international relationship network is unique. Our team of over 250 investment professionals spans three continents, linking us to a wealth of corporate contacts and industry experts. This gives us both a local and global view of industry trends. The breadth of our network ensures that we are able to bring together the best team, with the right experience and relationships for each investment opportunity. It also means we have the scale, the agility and the talent needed to deliver even the most challenging deals. How we invest 3i offers an exceptionally comprehensive range of venture capital and private equity solutions. We are expert across all funding stages, from start-ups, through growth capital to buyouts. Our venture capital team focuses on start-up and early-stage companies with funding requirements that are generally, but not exclusively, within the range of €1.5m to €40m. Our growth capital team focuses on funding solutions for medium-sized business, usually investing between €8m and €80m. Our buyouts team funds small and mid-market deals, where the transaction is usually in the range of €8m to €750m (when we are the sole investor). 3i is a selective, active investor. We partner with a broad range of businesses, and our scale provides us with the experience and expertise needed to invest across all funding stages and across a broad range of sectors and geographical markets.
