Asset Management Companies in India - Work Culture
I'm an undergrad from a Target in India, our campus does Tech and Consulting placements - but not so much in Finance. Wondering what the scene here is like for Asset management roles like Fixed income research and investment analysis is like.
How are the comps and work culture like in top places (I am guessing here) like: HDFC AMC, DSP Blackrock, IDFC, ICICI and any others worth mentioning?
Thanks!!

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
Are you from IIT/NIT?
Yeah, I am
If I'm not wrong JPM also has an asset management division, might not be open to undergrads though
Also ER is is something to look at in India, it has a lot more jobs compared to other FO functions and gives you something good on your resume.
I'm not 100% sure about any of this, Just my 2 cents
I think you are absolutely right about ER, I interned in ER at a BB and there are a lot more opportunities for internships at least. JP Morgan has hired undergrads from IITs/NITs for Global Markets roles, but my understanding is that you essentially work in MO.
For this reason, I'm seeing more recent grads trying their luck in the Mutual Funds space; like DSP Blackrock, Aditya Birla - the two I'm aware of.
