Growth Equity Shops that Aren't Sourcing Heavy?

Are there any growth equity shops that aren't super heavy on sourcing / cold calling at the Aso level? If so, which ones?
If you're at a place that's like this, who does the cold calls and emails?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that the role of sourcing or cold calling at growth equity shops can vary. Some shops may have a heavy emphasis on sourcing, especially at the analyst level. However, it's not specified which specific firms have less emphasis on sourcing at the Associate level.

In some growth equity shops, the analysts are often tasked with the initial outreach to potential companies, which can involve thousands of cold calls and emails per year. Once a company indicates interest, the lead is typically passed up to an Associate or VP who takes over the modeling and diligence.

Remember, this is a general observation and the actual responsibilities can vary from firm to firm. It's always a good idea to ask about the specific responsibilities during your interview process to get a clearer picture.

We had directors and partners do the sourcing and assos just did the execution which there was a lot. We weren't a tier 1 or even that large but our access was really good and we were quite selective with our investments. I actually thought that was the norm until I started visiting this forum. I still tried to do a bit of sourcing on my own because it makes you more valuable and helps if you ever want to move
