CFA® or other alternative?
Hi,
I am 1 year before graduating in Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Economics. In the past year, I did a summer internship in a Austrian Bank and am now doing a 6-month internship at the back office of an Energy-Trading company, also in Austria. I am very interested in getting deeper work experience in the S&T sector and would like to take advantage of pursuing a qualification which will enable me to succeed in that area. Any recommendations whether CFA® or any other path or qualification would be an excellent choice?
Thanks,
Igor
bump.
CFA can't hurt, even if you just stop at passing level 1. Can help you get interviews, especially if you're open to a trading/analyst role in Asset Management besides just sell-side S&T.
If your focus is really on sales/trading then I would advise against spending your time on pursuing a CFA charter. The little added value it provides does not justify the time and effort you'll spend on obtaining it.
