How good is Ivey?

I'm a high school student in Canada who recently got accepted to Ivey AEO for undergrad. Right now, I'm trying to choose between Ivey and a Canadian semi-target (UCalgary) that is closer to home and that I also have some scholarships for. And yeah, I know, Canada sucks and whatever, not on the same level as US targets, but I've got what I got. I'm aware that Ivey is obviously better than Calgary, especially if I don't want to get pigeonholed into oil & gas, but my question is more about how much better Ivey would actually be. My goal is, like any high school student on WSO, to enter high finance. I would like to get an IB job, whether it's M&A, Rx, or S&T, and maybe move to a hedge fund role a few years down the line. However, that's far off in the future, so my priority now is just to get that IB job. So, in that spirit, does Ivey actually live up to the hype? Assuming I'm top of my class at either school and I get a decent freshman summer internship, what opportunities would I be missing out on by choosing Calgary over Ivey? How much easier is it to recruit from Ivey? Also, for non-career questions, is Ivey a school with a good culture? Are there lots of parties and chicks? I've been accepted to both BMOS and Science for the first two years before Ivey, so which would be better to get a high average in? I'd be majoring in financial modelling for Science. Any answers to any of my questions would be greatly appreciated for a guy just trying to make the best choice.

Ivey is a semi-target by US standards. UCalgary is a semi-target by cdn standards and almost a non-target for Toronto.

Thanks. And yeah, I was more talking about Canada, since I'm aware that going to US for IB straight out of undergrad is only possible for a few Ivey and Queen's students every year, although I would obviously like to be one of those students
