Where to find best suit? suggestions

So I’m going in for an interview next week and don’t have any professional attire. I’m a senior in undergrad right now and need get some professional looking clothes. I don’t have A LOT of money but I also don’t want to look noticeably cheap. Something that will last and will make me look sharp. How many suit jackets/ pants do I need? What’s the most universal? I don’t have any experience so would appreciate some advice. Also need button up shirts and shoes, etc.

Honestly Brooks Brothers are expensive, but they do a 2-1 sale meaning you can get a buddy together and go buy a suit for like 800-900 bucks and get it fitted for like 65. I'd say getting it tailored is the smallest thing but very noticeable to people who do care. Not everyone will care. Short time frame does make it difficult so most places won't tailor in time.

See if there is a higher end consignment shop or a mom and pop suit shop in your area. Honestly with the time frame, since suits usually take 2-3 weeks to tailor, go to a tux rental shop they usually have higher end suits you can rent. They won't all be wedding and prom attire either.
