Singapore/HK PE

I have been trying / in the process of relocating to SG/HK for PE gigs. From my experience / call with HHs, seems like most of funds in SG don’t sponsor at junior level, HK being slow hiring market ATM with CNY approaching / most China focused funds are not hiring for obvious reasons. I wonder if anyone has done similar in the past (relocating from US to SG/HK), could share insights / tips in terms of your recruiting process.

  • Will networking with folks there help me get there?
  • should I consider banking there so to be more familiar with the regional market?

Much appreciated!
