Does anyone else have feel hypertension and crazy level of anxiety after working for some time in IB

Basically title

I've been in IB for a few years (ignore my position) and, honestly the stress is off the charts. Every day feels like a countdown to a potential layoff with crazy level of stress.

It seems things might be a bit better in US or UK, but not by much. Here in Asia, if you're at an MM, you have virtually no exit. MF exit is uncommon (and as stressful as IB) while other jobs pay significantly lower (even vs big 4 or MO at BB) and they often don't consider IB experience as relevant.

Everyone is desperate trying to stay. MD/Ds spamming emails 18 hours a day and pushing non-stop as they are even more desperate than the juniors.

I've become a work zombie, completely drained. Weekends are just me on high alert, scared of that work email ping. Nights are the worst. I finally start to unwind late evening, snatch an hour or two for myself, then it's 3am with next morning feeling groggy myself. I know it's dumb but after being on high alert all day, I just need that me-time.

Dude. I had pretty little work this weekend. But I jump awake at 7:30am Saturday and Sunday ready to go and stressed. I find myself clenching my jaw and staring off in to space for the first time in my life. Eyebags are developing.

I've managed to keep a half decent gym routine and diet but this is not good. I've been reading more stoic philosophy lately and it genuinely helps but there is a cloud of anxiety looming over me a lot of the time, and I force it away by doing intense workouts or by going out on the weekends and just drinking it away once a week with my buddies.
