New member seeking advice on career

Hello fellow primates,

I am currently a junior in a top Canadian university. My school is unique because it offers work-study programs for many majors. My major is in Accounting and Finance (well recognized program in Canada) with specialization in Public Accounting, and I am currently doing my 2nd work term at a Big 4 in Audit. I have one more 8-month work terms to go next Winter. After doing research on all the possible career paths in accounting and finance, I feel quite overwhelmed and would like advice.

To describe my interests and career goals:
- I am more of a conceptual learner, I do like numbers but not mindlessly crunching them on an Excel spreadsheet (I like practicality)
- I love to solve problems that can make a visible impact (and not necessarily just on the bottom-line)
- I do not mind long hours of work (10+), but I do want to work less hours as I progress in my career
- Salary-wise, I want to realistically hit at least 6-figures when I'm in late 20s and not be capped
- I am particularly interested in working abroad (somewhere warmer, hehe)

The two questions I really want to know are:

1. What do you guys think would be a suitable career field for me given my interests and circumstances, and what steps do I need to take NOW?

2. With 2 terms of audit experience so far at a Big 4 (with focus on financial services clients) and a few leadership positions in consulting clubs, sports clubs, ect, in what areas do I have a decent chance of getting internships or full-time positions?

I graduate in Winter 2014.

Thank you very much, I appreciate all help and advice :)
