GS LA/SF - How to break in?

Quick background: Currently a sophomore at an Ivy recruiting for SA 2022. Was part of the GS fastrack Superday they had for NYC IBD Classic but was rejected.

Given the rejection, it seems that I am unable to reapply for NY IB for this recruiting cycle but am able to still apply to other locations. Would it be feasible to hope for a potential spot at either GS LA or SF if my networking in the past has all been for NY? Furthermore, I'm aware that SF is mainly TMT and the Western Advisory group but was wondering what the case was for LA in terms of groups. In the highly improbable event that I was to get a SD with GS SF, would I have to know specific tech industry technicals versus the generalist technicals tested for in the NY interview (akin to how HOU interviews require knowledge O&G specifics like NAV, differences in accounting, etc.)? If so, what are the best resources to study everything there is to know in this regard (assuming little to no knowledge in tech)? I acknowledge these are several questions but would very greatly appreciate any insight on this. I've had a terrible recruiting season and am very close to giving up but am trying my best to give it one last shot.

Yes, for GS SF, you'll need to be very comfortable with tech industry technicals.
