Idk honestly looks generally similar to me. Those are good schools and good groups. There's going to be variation year to year too.

Very few spots compared to the hundreds of bankers applying for the roles, stronger alumni networks, hiring precedents
For the associates/senior associates at our UMM fund:
~50% went to Ivies. Couple others went to targets like UChicago and Georgetown. Remainder is mostly semi-targets and then there are a few non-targets.
40% worked at GS/MS or EVR/LAZ/MOE types. Slightly smaller proportion from mid-tier BBs (BofA/Barclays/CS/Citi) and then remainder from some lower BBs/PE laterals.
For most larger funds, you'll find that juniors with pedigreed backgrounds are more common than not...as one might expect
