SIE Exam Prep Advice for incoming FT?
Incoming FT studying to pass the SIE exam over the next two weeks. The training material is from knopman marks (KM) and there are textbooks, online KM videos and practice problems. Anybody who passed and did well - did you use both textbook and videos or did one suffice? Practice problems are necessary in any case so I don’t have any questions abt them, but wondering if slogging through the textbook is worth it, given my time frame. Thanks!
Just the videos should be fine as well as taking written notes as you go on the lectures / slide booklet KM gives you. Main thing is drilling practice Qs. This study method should be fine for all the other Series exams you took (i took 6 total).
Videos, key concepts then practice questions (1000+). Keep studying until your benchmark/diagnostic tests hit high 70s+ (general advice). They say the benchmarks are slightly harder than the actual exam. The practice tests are way harder and super in depth. I got high 80s on my diagnostic and felt confident during the test. Although, there were questions on the exam that I had never seen the material on.
Studied for a week. Read the book in 4 days and cranked out 6 practice tests over 3 days and passed. It was fairly easy
