Least Politically Correct Banks? Serious Inquiry

Currently ASO1 (ignore title) and my bank is going through layoffs. I don't have high up personal connections at the firm nor am I a select-hire by HR. I have a good relationship with my People Managers but can't really bank on that tbh. I'm actively look to move to another IB for better job security.

What types of banks should I be looking at to have a good shot of moving up to VP -> MD and more fair in the comp department? I know under the Director level, we don't generate fees so layoffs are not as "fair", for lack of a better word. I am confident about my performance and the ability to get along with different personalities.

Thanks!
