Top Non-Tiger Single Managers

Looking for color on the top non-tiger single managers. I’m generally referring to ~$10bn+ AUM with 15 or fewer investment professionals. AUM, size and backgrounds of the teams are public knowledge. Would like to learn more about culture, career trajectory and compensation in these roles.

Interested in the following funds in particular: Darsana, Eminence, Whale Rock, Soroban. But feel free to chime in with others.

Not really answering the question, but just share what I know.

Darsana is ex-Eton Park guys

Eminence is by Ricky Sandler, they are very focused on primary data points to form differentiated view on key business drivers.

Whale Rock, they TMT, would be a dream job for me. Alex has done very well getting ahead of S curve for nascent industry with big TAM just on the cusp of reaching critical mass. You can read about it here

Soroban, no idea, would like to hear about it.
