If a high volume of customers interact with their credit cards, or phone-computers then it will have commoditized alt data

Stuff with less customers, locations, volumes etc. will have less

There’s gonna be some quantifiable non-filing data to use in most areas, but what you’re really trying to avoid is tons of extra work to follow high velocity, pretty-accurate-but-sometimes-bad datasets cause there’s no edge there and it becomes a lot of work just for table stakes

there’s always gonna be some quantifiable industry specific data on most names, you prob just want to avoid the ones where everyone is just following ultra-high-velocity, totally commoditized datasets

I am amazed although that many peers still act like it’s 2012 and always want to wait for yipit to turn negative to short or something. This isn’t a variant view and you won’t get paid for it.
