High School Student with Random Questions
Hey I’m a high school student really interested in working in high finance specifically hedge funds (non quant) or investment banking and have random questions.

Would UC Berkeley or NYU be good target schools for recruitment into good firm.

Between a MD at an investment bank or a PM at a hedge fund which one is a better role and compensation.

Is there a way to break into hedge funds right out of college instead of going through the year or two in investment banking.

Is there any extra activities someone in high school or community college can take apart from joining the investment club that would set them apart.

I’m 17 and I recently moved to the USA and am planning on taking the HISET ( GED equivalent ) and enrolling in community college doing really well and then transferring to a 4 year. I’m trying to learn as much of the finance industry specifically these 2 roles as I can and am grateful for any answers. ( also I know my plan is unrealistic but still willing to try ) thanks in advance.
