What is my chance at being able to get into a top 3 management consulting firm or any firm at all in Australia. Uq bachelor of business management roughly 6 gpa (distinction) I am currently in my second year, what are some steps I can take to improve my chances?

Obviously raise the GPA as much as you possible can (I don't know what the average GPA of those who are offered interviews is, but the higher the better). This year in my state (I'm Australian too, not from QLD though), McKinsey interviewed only about 8 people, Bain about 15 and BCG also around 15, but I live in a city where all three have offices, so I'm not sure how many from UQ get interviews. The point is, getting to the interview stage is tough--you really need to be able to differentiate yourself from the other applicants and have something impressive on your CV.
