PWM in Italy and what is the job itself
Hi guys
I am finishing my MSc in Finance this year, with an internship in M&A at a top bank.
I am looking for an experience in PWM, but being honest I have no clue about what the daily activity of the job.
Also, IDK what is the "place to be"in Europe for this job.
Any advices on this?
Thanks
anyone?
Private Wealth Management is essentially managing money for very rich people and families. There is not one single 'place to be' because you have rich people all over the place (even Italy) but there is a lot of BB PWM work in Switzerland.
Thanks!
And what are the daily tasks of an intern/analyst (?) in the industry?
Any particular wealthy city, area, country, etc will have prominent PWM.
There were PWM firms everywhere in Monte Carlo. Not a bad place to live either... I'd look into it.
read my 4 part series on PWM, that will give you a good taste about the industry in general. however, many US based firms no longer do business in Italy because of the laws, so I'm guessing whatever info the big 3 could give you (with the exception of UBS since they're Swiss) will be limited.
if you're already in Italy, I'd just meet with the private bankers and go for coffee to learn about it
I m gonna read it, thanks.
Anyway, I am willing to move of course to look for a more complete experience in the PWM industry.
I just need to understand what it's more convenient to go, in terms of possibilities (how many chances I have for a successfull application) and salaries also
