Quant Rates Sales

I am currently doing my first year as rotational graduate in FICC with a background in Quant Finance (MSc) from a domestic target school. I was recently on the FI sales IG international desk for around one month (mostly institutional/HF/AM/RM sales, both cash and derivatives) and heard there would be opportunities to start as the rates sales guy on the desk (Europe/Nordic region in one of G10 currencies). There are not a lot of opportunities like this here. I very much like macro and to have a systematic/quant approach to research and I am wondering if you think this could make sense in a rates sales role. Also, what kind of exit ops would this give me (considering my background and if I use a quant approach to sales if even possible)…?
