Value of CEMS program?

Hi everyone,

I'm curious whether the CEMS program would add something for a person at a target in Europe (LSE or HEC). I understand that if you go to ESADE you'd like to get a term abroad at LSE, but for LSE or HEC students, is there added value in doing the CEMS program instead of doing another semester at their resident uni? And if so, does the school matter? Australia seems fun, but it's hardly known for its academic rigour.

You can do it for the "brand name" and the international experience. I think some of CEMS corporate partners have reserved certain contingents for graduates. I wouldn't say the CEMS program overall is of incredible academic rigor but you'll add another network and international destination to your experience. If you're into finance, CEMS won't add as much value since the brand of your target school is sufficient and "management" is anyway not a requirement. For consulting or a corporate role it might add a nice touch to do CEMS.

Alright, thanks for the input. I have to say that I am strongly considering consulting or even corporate; if CEMS adds an extra touch of pedigree then it seems worth considering.
