UChicago vs. Carnegie Mellon vs. Emory vs. Johns Hopkins
I was fortunate enough to be offered admission for Masters programs at the following 4 universities - University of Chicago (Booth), Carnegie Mellon (Tepper), Emory (Goizueta), and Johns Hopkins (Carey).
Wanted to get the community's thoughts on which university/program would be most beneficial career-wise. I have existing sell-side IBK experience and would be looking to pursue a buyside position post-grad.
Also curious what everyone's thoughts are regarding cost considerations - how would you weigh cost over prestige and vice-versa, given the notion that going to a better university could help you land a higher paying role/earn you much more than the cost of the degree over the course of your career?
Appreciate any overall thoughts or experiences regarding any of the schools mentioned here.
Not an American so maybe not the best person to answer this but ik U Chicago Booth has a lot of prestige in the industry and would probably be the best choice for recruitment. Not sure how much better of a deal the others are in terms of cost but it could come at the cost of requirement opportunities coming out of the program
makes sense, appreciate the thought
bump - would appreciate any further opinions or thoughts from the community here. Anything is helpful
Booth
thanks - any further reasoning or same thoughts as above?
