Stanford grad with military exp
Just a quick snapshot:
College: Stanford
Major: International Relations
Work Experience: 3 years as an officer in the army (including one deployment to afghanistan)
college GPA: 3.8
GRE: 1560/1600 (770 Verbal, 790 Quant)
I hope this isn't an issue, but I took the GRE before I entered the military instead of the GMAT as my plans were somewhat uncertain at the time.
I don't really know where I stand in regards to my competitiveness at the top schools stanford, harvard, and wharton. Thanks for any input you may have.
Any of those schools are in reach with those numbers....military experience is icing on the cake. Thank you for your service.

HPM, he said army officer. Just curious, how did you only do 3 years? I thought officers did at least 4 years. Were you OCS or ROTC?
It seems like being military these days is a bigger help for B-school than going to a target undergrad.
jc, that would be why I asked. Only heard of 3 years as an officer for guys that take a contract but still pay their way.
First I'd like to reiterate the above, thanks for your service. That said, dude spend five minutes on the HBS website looking at admit profiles and judge for yourself. There are a lot of individuals with background similar to yours. You went to arguably the best school in the country, graduated summa, turned down lucrative job offers to serve the country, and even tho the GRE isn't the toughest test in the world you have to pretty smart to get that score. So I think you would be a better source than a bunch college undergrads and brain-dead banking analysts (such as yours truly).

so are you saying if you do OCS (instead of ROTC) there is an option for only a 3 year commitment? Like others have posted above, I thought there was a 4-year minimum requirement. Or do you still have 1 year left?

Doing OCS doesn't pay for college tuition, that's ROTC. My parents paid my college tuition.

You can get a 3 year commitment only if you don't take any money (like the OCS option). My buddy did ROTC but never took a dime from them and paid his own way though school so he only has a 3 year commitment.
