Recruiting from Target School

I attend a target school and have been doing some networking. A lot of my calls are with analysts that are not alumni of my school. I know for a lot of target schools, schools have dedicated recruiting teams of alumni. Can bankers from other schools help you get an interview, or is the process for target students limited to the school teams process?

Yes, if you have another commonality such as ethnic background/ sports etc. they may be more inclined to respond to your cold email. From that point on, you want to have a good call and hope that they refer you to others in the group/ bank to maximize your interview chances

thanks! yeah I have been having good convos, kind of just wanted to know if bankers from other schools can help with interviews, or if decisions on who gets first rounds were more so based on a per-school basis for target schools
