Recruiting at HBS

Hi people,

I was wondering if anyone could shed light about the recruiting scene at HBS, specifically in finance (IBD, VC, PE). I just graduated college and have deferred admission there and am currently settling on a job.

I have an interesting offer at a biotech start up, but am hesitant bc I don't know how this will translate into finance recruiting from the MBA level. Does anyone know exactly how hard it is to get IBD jobs from HBS?

Thanks

IBD should be a piece of cake. Not many kids at Harvard/Stanford chase IBD.

VC should also be doable if it's a reputable, VC-backed start up. PE will be tough.

Isn't it all a breez after HBS ? I mean if the economy went back to what it was in say 20004-05 ( Not really a boom boom but the going was good, not a 2007 for eg ) won't everything be a walk-in after HBS ?

HBS is supposed to be THE place to make your career. PE, HF, VC,IB ..anything.

My opinion. Any thoughts ?
