Programming & Finance
Hey guys, first post here. I am 17 and will be applying to universities later this year, and wanted to know more the kind of major I should aim for.
Having viewed a lot of websites and forums, the main question in my mind still prevails: I know I need programming to work on the quantitative side of Wall Street, but should I major just in CS/mathematics, and not Finance/Economics?
I am pretty darn good at mathematics, physics, economics, best at my school, pursuing an international baccalaureate diploma, but that's just at a high school level. I am interested in programming as well as finance, my parents are advising me to take Electrical engineering, something I'll be good at, but not really great, because I'm not that interested.
