Profile Evaluation for Oxford MFe
Hello Everyone,
I’m planning to apply for Oxford MFE for Fall ’19 (and other Financial engineering programs in the US) and would love to have your thoughts on my profile:
Profile:
Undergraduate: Mechanical Engineering from HKUST, Top 2 in Hong Kong.
GPA: 4.1 out of 4.3 ** (1st in Class, Academic Medal, Dean’s List in all Semesters. Full Tuition Fee Scholarship for undergraduate)
GMAT: **760 (Q50,V44)
Courses: Advance Mech. Engg courses (which I hope substitutes for Math requirements) Broad fundamental courses in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Int’l Relations.
Work Experience: Working in Transaction Banking Graduate Program (2 years by Fall 2019) in a BB in Hong Kong. 6 months of International rotation in London.
Other than Oxford, I'm targeting US Financial Engineering/Finance programs, such as Baruch, Gatech etc. What are your thoughts on this?
My goal is to start with entry level Asset Management/Global Markets job somewhere in London/NYC/Chicago and possibly take more quantitative roles from there.
Thanks in advance!
