Placement after NUS: MiM + CEMS vs. MSc Finance

Hi,

I'm looking for feedback/insight regarding placement in AM/IBD graduating from NUS in Singapore.
Specifically, I have an interview for its MSc Finance program next week and I've had one for its MiM-CEMS dual-degree. The MiM-CEMS degree is a regular MiM coupled with a CEMS diploma (you basically spend 2 terms out of 3 abroad in a top uni, e.g. HEC, LSE, HKUST, Cornell, ESADE, etc.)

  • How good is an MFin from NUS for AM/IBD in Singapore?
  • Even though I already have a decent finance background (degree + internships), would a MiM-CEMS degree prevent me from accessing these opportunities in AM/IBD?

About me:
- French national with a bachelor's degree in finance from a target uni in Canada (Distinction)
- since graduating in 2019, I've worked for a Canadian pension fund in London (UK): first in a strategy team, and then in a Private Debt/Direct Lending team.

Thanks for sharing your insight
