Personal Statement Importance at MSc Level

Hello everyone,

My question is relatively simple and straightforward. I am currently applying for an MS in finance at top business schools in UK and Europe. I have all my supporting documents and GMAT score sorted and I am just missing my personal statement. I have been struggling with my personal statement because I want it to be perfect and I re-read it daily and adjust it and I never feel satisfied with it.

My question is: how important is the personal statement/statement of purpose to get into finance programs at top unis like LSE, Imperial, LBS, etc...? How much time is worth losing to write the "perfect" personal statement?

Thank you
