MSc: UCL vs CASS

What do you guys think about these two school for a future MSc in Finance/Management?
Past experience? Thoughts? Advice?

Goal to breaking into London IB (BB or EBs or MM). Currently intern in a PE firm in France. Studying for GMAT.

UCL Finance MSc is new and taught in Canary Wharf, so we have few data about placement etc.
Cass has a good name in the City.
For undergrad no doubts: UCL >> Cass. But for postgrad?

If I'll not get into LSE/Imperial I have to consider other solutions.
I want to be in London. (No Warwick, no Durham, no this far places)

Cheers

Hard to say since UCL's programme is new and theres little data on it. Is the MSc at Cass in Management? If so, then I would take UCL Finance over Cass Management. Do a technical degree where you can learn develop real skills. Management degrees are too wishy washy.

Try to network with some alumni, get their feedback. Cass is good, but I don't know much about UCL for breaking into IB. Its strengths are more in science/engineering/medicine.

The MSc at Cass is in corporate finance. Not bad, but consider it cost 27.000£ vs 25.890£ of UCLs one. Agreeing for management degree, I would take it only for acquire the brand of an Uni. UCL place really well for the undegrad, dk about postgrad. Thanks for the reply btw

Neither. UCL may have more rigorous curriculum but their business school sucks. For the amount that they charge for their MSc in Finance, you could get much better education and career services. Why didn't you apply to MSc Finance at Cass? It's much better IMO

Do you think Cass MSc Finance > Cass MSc corporate finance? From their employment data seems that the second one place better in MM/EBs/BB... About UCL I'm afraid you're right.. I can't find ppl on LinkedIn that are going to attend it btw

I mean the plus side with Cass is that they are known to get people into the industry and you can help you establish a good network. Whereas UCL's strengths lie in sciences so I'm not sure how much better they'd be.

Also compare the course content and see which one you prefer. Is this to start in 2018 btw?

Agreeing with you about the program. Upside are the brand, UCL. From linkedin seems that they have a strong placement in the city. But don't know. And it cost 25.890 vs 27.000 of Cass. Impossible to find someone currently enrolled :-(

UCL >> Cass for any type of program. UCL is a target, Cass is not. The name alone gets your foot in the door in the city. This shouldn't even be a discussion basically.

Talked with various ppl in the city and cass alumni.. The school is without doubt a good semi target, located in the heart of the city. If you've previous internship the school offers a better placement than you can think. And learning outcomes are very not bad. Another good stuff is the NYC bound

Downside that they advised me are the small dimension of the library and the very high tuition fee (28k)..

I think that I will try a shot with one of their MSc!
