Low gpa NESCAC undergrad —> 4.0 at no name MSF for NYC finance?
Hi all,
I finished undergrad this year at a Maine NESCAC school (not bowdoin) with a 2.7 gpa (rough times for a few years) and I was an athlete (Football). I want to enter a masters in finance or MSF program and get a high GPA to hopefully offset my low UG gpa.
If I go to a non-target or no-name school for a MSF and get a 4.0 could I use that gpa to find a NYC job? Or should I aim for a high GMAT and try to get into a better MSF program despite my low UG gpa?
What is your advice for this situation? What should I do to attempt to find a job in NYC finance?
