Is a MBA from a low-ranked/no name school better than an ivy-league bachelors degree?
Since a MBA covers more advanced materials than a bachelors degree and also outranks it. Will employers think that a MBA graduate from a low-ranked/no-name school is better/smarter than an Ivy-League graduate but only has a bachelors degree?
no
Lol
Not at all
No. Dude even top MBAs have double digit acceptance rates with most students having mediocre GPAs and work experience (exceptions are GSB and HBS but even those schools have tons of kids with weak profiles). Getting into an Ivy for undergrad is basically a complete shit show nowadays.
Is this a joke?
No, the academics portion of the MBA doesn't really matter. You shouldn't fail, and you should try to learn something, but it doesn't matter.
MBAs are good for recruiting, or taking a break from work. Low ranked ones are good for people that just need an MBA to get promoted or something.
Low ranked, no-name MBAs are only good for when your employer says you need to check that box and they'll pay for it. Aside from that they aren't even worth the paper they are printed on.
