I am a Canadian considering a US MBA

Hi all, I am Canadian brown person. My parents and I immigrated to Toronto when I was 7 and they worked blue-collar jobs. That is to say I didn't have a lot of connections growing up. I went to a non-target school in Canada, started in audit upon grad (did one year), later E.R. (18 months), and now a senior analyst at  a Canadian bank in IB. I am considering an MBA just from an educational branding perspective. There are or were H/Wharton/Booth/CBS/Tuck MBA grads at my bank, whom I've worked with and whom I could potentially ask to give me a ref. My GMAT is 710 and my undergrad GPA was 3.43.

I will apply in Round 2 this year. For those of you who are Canadian and have applied to top MBA (M7 programs) in the past, do I have a shot?

I always have this insecurity of not being good enough and I think having a top MBA will put me at ease, so that I don't have to prove to anyone that I am smart enough. Obviously this is not what I will write on my application, but just sharing it here in case any of you is interested in my reasoning to pursue bschool.

Also - I know Rotman/Ivey MBAs are not considered in any way special here in toronto / Canada, but will a M7 MBA give me any edge at all?
