HEC MiM Grande Ecole

Hi,

I am interested in applying for MSc In Management Grande Ecole at HEC Paris. I have a BSc in Business Administration from a pretty good European University. I really love the various specializations offered in the second year of the program.

However, having a business background (Bachelor), I am bit worried that the program might not be the ideal fit since only 40% of the student body have an undergraduate degree in either business or economics. I have also looked into the specialized Master's programs at HEC but I think the Grande Ecole program still has the best reputation and I'd prefer to do a 1.5/2 year program.

What do you think?

My gmat score is 740 and my undergraduate GPA is pretty good as well. I am also applying to ESADE's Master in International Management/CEMS. The interviews with both schools went well. I will receive their decision by the end of the month. Additionally, I am also thinking about applying to St. Gallen's SIM Master.

Just a general comment about studying at a french school, be careful about where you want to work afterwards. If your french is not perfect (like native speaker level), chances of landing a job in a top company in France are lowish.

Thanks for the answer. But doesn't a HEC grande ecole degree give you access to great jobs opportunities in countries other than France as well (let's say GB-London or Germany)?

Oh of course, HEC is top notch in Europe - you should not have any trouble finding a job in the UK or Germany. I was just warning about the limited job opportunities in France, if your french is not perfect!
