Good Programmes for MSc Finance and how to get in.

Greetings,

I've been thinking about getting into the Finances, but I'm wondering what Business Schools offer programmes I could apply to considering the requirements in the top schools are very high.

I graduated two years ago. My major is Economics. I only have one year of working experience, and it isn't even at a bank. So, I thought some Masters degree might help me make my way into the Financial World... but the good Business Schools are rather demanding (major from a good school, honours, extracurricular activities, working experience, etc...). So... I'm completely at a loss, as I have none of that. I originally planned on scoring high on the GMAT as a way of giving myself some standing, but the more I research... the more I learn that won't be enough.

So, I'd like to know if there are some good Master Programmes, which aren't necessarily from TOP business schools, but which would be more accessible to me and in which I can learn a lot, and actually give myself leverage.

I've read Internships are good for jobs at banking and the finances and also good as a reference to enter a good Business School... but there's no such thing in my country (well, there is, but it's only for people who are coursing through University and you could hardly call it training, as it is more of a formality to gain "experience"), and I don't know if foreign people can apply to banking internships in Europe or America. I have dual-citizenship because of my Italian grandfather, so I thought that could help me in finding some internships at the EU, but it'd seem to me those are not really open for foreigner (though I guess there might be obvious reasons for that).

Sorry for the wall of text. Thanks in advance.

Before you listen / do what people suggest, you should start by figuring out what you want to do. Seriously, I'm not trying to be a dick b/c getting an MSF/MMS or something else isn't a cure-all. An MSF/MMS or an advanced degree is a tool and that's it; think of it like a hammer and your career is a screw... you wouldn't hammer a screw right? Now if you know what you want to do and we say that it's a nail, then of course pound away with that hammer (i.e. go to an MSF). But if what you want to do (career) is not aligned w/ the implement (MSF/MMS) then it's a pretty huge waste of money.
