So what if it did? Were you not going to prepare for one because you're preparing for the other? Or were you just going to decide on a lark to take one because you prepared for the other? Either way it doesn't make sense.

Nice job jumping to conclusions. I'm planning on taking both, just wanted to know if I would be better off taking one before the other.

Then why wouldn't you phrase it that way? My point still stands, though. Either you are trying to supplement your CFA prep with GMAT prep or you are trying to avoid some portion of prep for one by using the prep for the other. In either case you should just prep for one take it and then prep for the other and take it.

I thought the GMAT math was far more difficult than level I of the cfa. Math without a calculator? And geometry at that? Rate problems and all that bullshit? Give me swaps/options/acct problems any day. I suck at math. Finance isn't math.

Not at all.
lol, theres no similarity between the two
having taken the GMAT and now studying for the CFA, there is absolutley nothing in common
Nope. Prepping for the GMAT might help you remember what a number is but that's about it.
if you're used to studying for the cfa 1 you'll think studying for the gmat is a joke...
that's about the only way taking the cfa 1 will help you with the gmat
