General idea of business school options after Teach For America

Hello all,

I am currently a first year TFA corps member and am curious about what business schools I should aim for when my time is up. I am a history major and will be involved with various organizations in the community. I am also African American if that makes a difference. I do plan on applying through the consortium but I would apply to non-consortium schools in that made sense. Thanks in advance for you advice.

What is your undergrad? If you went to a top undergrad and get a good GMAT, as an AA in TFA, you might have a shot at H/S and definitely the rest of the MBA business schools ">M7.

I will say that 2 years and even 3 years at TFA as a teacher might not be enough work experience, so you should look at potentially moving into a principal/managerial role for a year or two after your stint in TFA, or at an NGO or governmental education focused role maybe. I'm just thinking of the ex-TFA people at my MBA business schools ">M7, I think most did something for a bit after their commitment.
