Contemplating ona transfer, which business school?
Hi all,
I am a second year undergrad studying Finance in an Australian university with the status of an international student. Recently I've been thinking about moving to United States because it offers more opportunity IMO.
So, I've decided to arrange a transfer, but given my limited financial resources, I might be transferring after I finish my second year in Australia. So far, I've been aiming to get into NYU Stern. Any suggestion? How is the school's reputation in the opinion of recruiters?
Thanks.
NYU Stern is a great school - go if you can. I would recommend doing some finance-related internships during your two years in Australia, however. Since Stern is in NYC, most students will have 2-3 related internships under their belt before applying for FT jobs.

One of the downsides as an international student in Australia is that most (if not all) investment banks require permanent residence for internship, something I couldn't get until I graduate.
Nonetheless, I did my internship in a local investment bank in my country.
Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the list, although I'm not too optimistic in getting to Haas and Wharton. Ross didn't approve any international transfer btw.
NYU Stern transfer is just as competitive as the other schools. As in very slim chance. And not just for you... for anyone in general.
