Citadel: Brutal recruiting at top MBA schools
From talking to friends at HBS, wharton, booth, columbia, the recruiting by Citadel was especially brutal this year, even moreso than other elite firms. People who were getting full-time offers from places like Blackstone, SAC, Fortress, PIMCO, were either getting cut after the first-round interviews or in some cases not even receiving an interview invite.
Cool story bro
Thanks
Great Read
What is the point of this post? Do you have a question, or are you just trying to inflate the prestige of the company you have joined?
This guy trolls with stupid posts like this all day long.
from talking to a friend ... lol I like that camouflage technique.
Thanks, Im glad you shared this.
I can sleep now
my friends at HBS, wharton, booth and columbia told me you are a faggot.
Good chance the OP is a troll, but even if it were true this doesn't surprise me too much. Citadel has always been insanely selective, usually taking 2-3 from each business school they recruit at.
Insanely selective would be 2-3 total, not at each school. If you figure a first round of about 12 interview, then 3 from there is 25%.
In other news, I heard that a turkey club is an awesome sandwich. Not quite as good as a delicious burger, but pretty darn good.
i know for a fact that last year about 200 students at wharton submitted resumes to citadel during on-campus recruiting. and they gave out either 1 or 2 offers.
Even if you are one of the two to get an offer, Citadel is known for axing talented people for shits n giggles. I'd rather go somewhere that at least makes an effort to keep people.
.....
.
bcbunker1, did you go BCG after your program?
Why are you insulting the dude? He did not do anything to you. (I jest, don't flame me).
.....
I'm sorry but what exactly can MBA student do @ Citadel? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to go after MFE students (Financial Engineering) or MSF Princeton(25 spots for 600+ applicants)/LSE (43 spots for 1,500+ applicants)?
I know someone at the B-school in my university who is going to be working for a firm like Citadel. He was an engineer in corporate research at a blue-chip technology firm before deciding on MBA. This would be especially true for more quantitative B-school programs like Booth.
