Can I make it to top MBA Program?
I am currently working on my undergrad while working at a finacial advising firm. I go to University of South Florida. What im wondering is when im done with undergrad will USF be good enough along with a couple years of industry experience to get into a top MBA program?
no... you obviously dont know how to research anything.
Your UG is just the beginning. MBA admissions isn't based on where you went to school for UG. How well did you perform in UG? Any EC's? What did you do after UG? Those are some of the things they look at.
To answer your question. Graduating from the University of South Florida and then working as lets say a financial adviser for 4 - 5 years isn't likely to get you into Wharton.
With that said, this topic is beat to hell all over this site as well as others. Read.
I read a story the other day of someone from USF getting a gig at GS. I think it was from a couple of years back, but it can be done. He had major URM on his side though.
USF isn't going to help break down any doors, but together with some career success, it certainly won't stop you. As stated above, it's all about how you performed, and how relevant your work experience is. If you are still in UG your MBA application is about 20% of the way there. Kick ass on the next 80% and you'll be fine.
