BSc in Investment and Financial Risk Management in Bayes Business School (Cass)
Hi there, does anyone know about this BSc and Bayes? Will I have possibilities for summer internships ? Or competition from LSE etc will be too high.... Any info much appreciated
This topic has been covered to death..
Bayes doesn’t place even remotely well, pick somewhere else if you’re gunning for finance.
I'm biased. But it's still a semi. If you grind enough, you can get it from Bayes. This year alone had a few top EB/BB summer offers(PJT, EVR level on the EB side) + some good distressed funds.
low semi towards the non-target....
Bayes undergrad is barely a target could still land a few internships though.
And spring weeks? Do I stand a chance or spring weeks also out of the question..?
Low chance but not impossible. Prep well and you have a shot.
Look, if you have an offer from elsewhere which is a better place, go there, if you don’t, take it and start early with recruiting prep.
Would there be a high competition? Yes, but that doesn’t mean that there is less competition at other semi-targets.
Would you still have a chance for SA? It’s all up to you, so if you prepare well, you have chances - the university is not the only factor which is considered in recruitment especially in BBs.
Is the course good? Yes, it’ll be prepare you really well and you wouldn’t have to learn extra stuff that otherwise you would have to in a non-finance degree which makes life easier.
Just echoing this comment, the facility's career center and societies are basically malfunctioning but if you have the commitment/the ability to gather information, you still have a fair chance. Uni as a factor in recruiting is as much as it's gonna be and being at Cass won't disadvantage you comparing to being at other semi-targets. I know a few people in the program and were placed pretty well. And the course is pretty good if you actually apply yourself and learn the content. There are some really interesting modules.
Thanks I have offers from Bath, Exeter and ESADE (BBA) but course in Bayes seems the most interesting to me
Take Bath or Exeter. Bath Business has excellent placements.
I just got an offer from Bayes for MSc Mathematical Trading and Finance, the course content looks good. Is it not good for having a shot at quant commodities trading? Waiting to hear back fro Warwick Business School. Not sure whether to wait or not.
