Binghamton SOM or UMASS Isenberg?

I am a current high school senior with my most favorable acceptances so far being Bing SOM and UMASS Isenberg (both finance major). I am hoping to break into IB during college through summer internships and land a position after college. I am hearing back from NYU Stern and Cornell AEM next week, however for now which of the two mentioned schools would you recommend? I have relatives in IB currently and wondering if that would help my chances if I attend one of the non-targets. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

The most honest advice I can give is to spend the next 6 months studying super hard for the SAT/ACT to get your scores up as high as possible. When you enter school, take easy classes and get a 4.0. Then transfer to a better school. It will be extremely difficult to get into a respectable firm in a FO role from either of those school's.

If you get your SAT up by 100-250 points you should easily be able to transfer into a more selective school.

This may sound like brutal advice, but you will have a substantially easier time recruiting if you go to a semi-target, and the mundane time spent studying for standardized tests is totally worth it here.

Thank you for your response. My SAT that I submitted to colleges was a 1490 accompanied with a 3.7~ GPA. I would say my extracurriculars were above average, yet still I have been rejected from URochester & Notre Dame. I was also accepted into Pace's Business Analytics program, however I heard that is also a not so decent entry point. If NYU and Cornell don't work out, what would you say is the next step?

Go to Binghamton and join the Finance Society. The hit rate for landing a front office internship for those who are accepted into their boot camps is close to 100%. Recent placements include pretty much every BB (MS, JPM, Citi, etc.), and top EBs (Lazard, Moelis, PJT RSSG).

Thank you for your input, Bing seems to have risen tremendously on most websites' rankings so its definitely not out of the question for now. If I don't get accepted elsewhere I will look towards bing.

Bullshit. Binghamton is a non-target and will always be. Barely worth in-state tuition, much less out of state tuition. Crappy teaching, garbage placement, especially if you aren’t in SOM, though even that isn’t great.
