Advice for College Acceptances
Hello all. I'm currently a high school senior that's interested in high finance/consulting. I've gotten accepted into a few schools already, and I'd like to know the best school in terms of IB placement. Money isn't really that big of a deal considering that no matter what I do, I'm confident that through scholarships and future income I'll be able to pay it off.
So far, I've gotten into:
Miami (OH)- Farmer
Auburn
Hampden-Sydney
Mizzou
Iowa
Michigan State
Baylor
Decisions I'm awaiting:
Bucknell (probably no)
Penn State
Delaware
Morehouse
Fordham (probably no)
UIUC (probably no)
UMD (probably no)
Out of these schools, I believe that Miami (OH) is the best for IB placement. I was also accepted into their Honors College, so that is also a plus. However, I'm also not a complete idiot and know that a lot of high finance is based purely on prestige. Therefore, am I better off settling and going into accounting, working my way into a Big 4 financial services office, and then lateraling into investment banking?
What about OSU? I would pick that before Miami. Also I'd take PSU over Miami. Why is that? Bc everyone knows Sean Clifford is a bum. So technically PSU is more well known
Jokes aside. Pick a big state school you like and just join all the relevant clubs and do internships. You will be just fine.
