Include return offer on Resume?

I worked at a PE shop and they rescinded my return offer. I've been applying to places and networking like crazy, but I think I need to get the idea across that my offer was rescinded through my resume. If I don't put it there, I will either 1. Look like the idiot thats still recruiting 1 month before graduation or 2. Look like I screwed the pooch at the PE shop and therefore I didn't get an offer.

To be clear, I got an offer and then it was rescinded and I want to get this idea across on my resume without looking stupid.

Assuming that it was rescinded due to market conditions, I think including “return offer received” would be a good idea to help stand out. Can always explain more in an interview setting / networking call
