Job offer, tell recruiter??
Would you tell a recruiter (the one from a job which you really want) that you received an offer from another company? In my case it is true, but actually I dont wanna take the offer anyway. So would it be advisable to tell him or would that rather have a negative impact on the process?
You should tell them as it shows you’re in demand and created competitive tension. Can also help nudge them to quicken their process for you so you can “evaluate both offers fully”.
For my last job, I let my recruiters know that I was interviewing at multiple places, was at X point in the process, and updated them accordingly. Their job is to help you out and nudge the process along. When I had a 3rd round at Firm X, it pushed Firm Y to move a little faster and negotiate a little higher for my comp package to bring me on. Their job is to advocate for you, so yes, tell the recruiter you got an offer somewhere.
Ok great. I had other recruiters which were asking along the process about my status.
I will let him know. Thx!
