Is this misleading for a description?
I work for a boutique real estate firm as an Financial Analyst focused on Acquisitions. In the description on my resume, if I put "closed transactions totaled $100 MM" and that includes properties we have bought AND sold, is that misleading? Or should I just put "closed acquisitions totaled $XX MM?" Or does it not matter?
Thanks in advance.
I think you should probably put something in there about the number of transactions as well. Just saying that you did 100MM in transactions says nothing about your experience. You could have closed two, or you could have closed 200.
So just updating to 'Closed XX transactions totaling $100MM'. You can just leave it as transactions instead of acquisitions because each way is one transaction. So you aren't lying. If they interpret it as all acquisitions and you get an interview because of it, then awesome for you!
