How to transition from Asset Management/Special Servicing to Originations or Equity Asset Management
Any advice on how to do this? Should I wait a bit until things clear over (hopefully) next year? What could I do? Would maybe get a master's or something help? Currently at a special servicer, but I know long term I am more of an originations guy.

If you're 1-2 years into your career, I thinking networking with folks a little higher up can probably help you land into one of these spots. If you've exhausted that with no results and spent 3 years working, a master's can be something to look at for a reset. A leap to an originations from your role doesn't seem so far fetched because your current role is closely tied to how the property performs. Jumping over to equity asset management will likely involve an intermediate step, like an MBA or MRED because most of those roles are with large institutional shops and there's a more formal selection process in filling those seats.
