Best of COVID WFH

I'm going crazy being away from the team. I'm at home like most i know, with my brother (also in CRE). My mom loves listening into everything we're doing, and is generally roasting us for the abuse in the market right now. So the question is, what's the funniest/strangest thing you've heard/done so far as you've been surrounded by outsiders - family, friends, significant others?

Mine has too be post round of conference calls (hours long), most of which I was tossing a ball/fucking around with my brother while on mute. My mom turns to us and goes "do you both get paid to just dick around and tell people you'll circle back with an update?". Um, yes. Don't think we'll be getting much sympathy out of her after this shit...

Also got 6 calls Saturday morning around 8am from my MD ripping me for not being online (as did most of the team) - he lost track of the days and thought it was Friday...

What's yours? Save the "i stayed in my city like a man" post for someone else.

Nothing too crazy for me haha. I'm based out of Toronto and WFH. Everything has gone from analysis & new deal generation to full blown account management and calming nerves of our investors, LP Partners etc.

Most i've done is crack a white claw @ 11 AM on a friday (alright, maybe it was monday) & play Warzone while on mute during a conference call.

I'm super bummed to see everyone "working" from home while I go into the office. I've been going home during lunch to play Warzone.

Funniest

You're both living with your mom?

Not that I'm one to judge too much. I've been getting a lot of video game time during conference calls.

Has to be on a concall, one of the associate forgot to mute her mic and her bf asks her how long she's going to be online cause his "willy ain't going to suck itself". Luckily it was really faint and i think only a few people paid attention to the call and nobody really wanted to mention about anyone personal life while wfh.

Also MD messed around with the Zoom virtual background and not knowing it is actually broadcasted live. He scrolled through a picture of random 80's rock band photo and was trying to locate his head on the guitarist picture.
