Which PE firms have the best offices?
I saw this on the IB forum for BBs and EBs and was wondering about PE firms. Honestly pretty bored in quarantine and looking for some light discussion lol. Hope everyone is coping with this all well

Blackstone and Linden have really nice offices
BX's bathroom is far superior than any other ones I've been to. Just saying....
You can tell a lot about a firm by the quality of their bathrooms
Platinum Equity in Beverly Hills is far and away the nicest office in the space.
Hard to argue with that. Clearlake and Marlin look pretty sick too.
Non-LA offices that come to mind:
TPG's NYC office has a great view of central park (I'm sure you can say this about a lot of funds in the city, but TPG's is just stunning)
Veritas: You know those shitty free mini water bottles you see everywhere? Typically Poland Springs or Nestle or some garbage? Veritas has freaking VOSS. That's truly absurd (in the best possible way)
GTCR is very very nice. MDP was a little disappointing, as was Citadel.
Has anyone been inside of Platinum Equity offices? I've driven by and def doesn't look like a PE fund's typical office.
That's crazy. Looks like a mix between Uncle Phil's house and a prep school.

The view from carlyle's office at 520 madison was stunning - I saw the skyline in a way I hadn't seen before. Views from a high floor at 1330 6th ave is also great - amazing view down 6th and of central park from the office. BDT's nyc office also had a good view.

I’ve probably been to 50 PE and hedge fund offices over the last few years. They are all about equally as nice. Most of them are on the top floors of the building and have great views, whether that’s in NYC or SF, and most have nice conference rooms and reception areas. Literally none stand out to me as being any better than any other. By design, the conference rooms all tend to face the correct directions and/or be on a corner.
London and China offices aren’t as nice though. That’s where you notice the difference. Both have a weird thing with air conditioning (they don’t use it).
friend who was visiting Viking global said it was insane for having a fountain / being all marble on such a high up floor. have you seen it? wonder if that’s norm too, haven’t really been to Hf offices
I've been to Viking once and can picture the reception area and the walk down the hallway but I don't remember a fountain? It might be there (it's been a year or two since I was there) and I didn't notice but like I said none of these offices really stick out to me over any others. Most of the PE/HF offices have some type of marble. Maybe someone who works there knows better.
Millennium in NY has a pretty sweet office.
NYC- Apollo: nicest I've seen. Great views, lots of mahogany. It's sweet Onex: Nice digs, black and granite everywhere Sycamore: nice view but small H&F: Nice, smaller, but same theme as the SF office AEA: disappointing but very cool art from the moma Warburg: disappointing New Mountain: rather plain

Disliked apollo... also hate the fact that offices have wooden doors it’s so closed off and old school not a fan
Centerbridge's looks pretty sweet in the pics on their website, haven't been in person though
It's very open and glassy (if I recall correctly – it's been a while). Almost feels like a NASA command center / trading floor hybrid in some areas.

Blackstone's office was pretty average, but I did enjoy Warburg Pincus. BX location was better
Partners Group’s campus in Denver is insane. two gyms. smoothie bar. ski lounge, auditorium. Mountain views all around
GTCR has been said but absolutely breathtaking as well

Fortress Investment Group. Fuck me I interned there at the SF office and they had a full on kitchen, giant gym on the top floor, and giant cubicles literally right over the water and The ferry building. NYC office also was great
HIG Miami and Platinum LA are the two that stick out to me.
I really like TPG’s NYC offices. Very clean and bright with a great view of the park from their main conference room. Apollo and KKR’s are both kind of creepy.
Does TPG have PE in NYC? I heard some of the Sixth Street Credit groups were in NY but they’re no longer together.
