Peloton Capital Management - Toronto
Any word on these guys? Seems like a lot of senior folks who used to work in the PC arms of Canadian pension funds… would like to hear any experiences people out on WSO have had with them

Career Resources
Returns are strong. Good place to be.
Bankrolled by Stephen Smith who founded First National, and have attracted strong talent. Heard great things, they do interesting deals, and returns have been good.
Yeah seem like a good place, no real red flags, other than they are pretty dependent on the one key LP who's standing them up/helping them launch their platform.
The co-founders were MD’s at OTPP, they’re very nice and accomplished guys with great connections a la Stephen Smith. They recently raised another fund at around $500m I think? Also trying to grow bigger having made some more hires in recent months. Pretty cool firm.
Really great culture - Seniors are chill to work with, care about junior development, and are all really sharp in their respective verticals. They do a lot of deep dives into niche sub-verticals that can sometimes be challenging to conduct due diligence in, so you have to be resourceful and think outside the box. Hours aren't too terrible as the seniors above VP all have kids so they're out the office by 5pm or earlier and depending on how deep you are in deals, you'll likely be working 9am-9pm/12am on weekdays with little weekend work. If you're into healthcare, financials, or consumers, and want to be in mm pe, probably best place to be at in Toronto.
Any sense of comp at the associate/senior associate level?
