Savage Glassdoor Reviews
How can half of these reviews remain posted? I'm looking at a particular organization which is littered with accusations of misappropriation of funds, self dealing, and a crooked executive cartel. Another pointed out that an executive regularly leaves the office for extended periods of time to go get Botox and/or tan.
a) You'd think Glassdoor would be a pay to play site where they would take down said reviews for a paltry fee.
b) Some of these posts read like fact. Said review user could be open to defamation/libel if there is any lack of truth to the facts. I'm no lawyer, but I would think Glassdoor would be complicit in part or whole.
c) I would imagine someone smarter than me could sleuth Glassdoor reviews in search of something on the cusp of material nonpublic information for an investment reco to go long/short.
Has anyone left a truth bomb on the site? What are some other gems? Feel free to share.
pls link the ones you are referring to
there are some funny ones on Tobin & Co's glassdoor page
Lmao Justine commented on here ages ago. She had a negative banana rating.
Saw this one a few years ago from a VP at a company I used to work at, went from 0-100 pretty quick:
Pros Good equipment. Employees want to be successful. company has good employees and trains their employees well.
Cons: Executive management team is weak and unethical . company management team does not know what to do.
Advice to Management: Fire [CEO's name]. He has no leadership skills and is a heavy drinker. He has failed in every assignment he's been put in.
Puts CEO on blast! Love it!
Rather than savage, this Citadel one was quite funny!
savage
Can't find a link to the article, but WSJ wrote something up recently where they found evidence that suggested certain companies were goosing their scores by "encouraging" current employees to post positive reviews.
LOL @ TOBIN & Co
Review
I worked at Tobin & Company Investment Banking Group as an intern
Pros
Learned a lot about the industry...
Cons
CEO always felt the urge to prove that she belonged in the industry and how she was wronged by Wall Street. Toxic environment...
Management response
We are very sorry that you were so hurt, after we made the difficult decision to terminate you, that you felt that you needed to make this post. Our culture is our most important value at Tobin and from time to time we have to coach our interns to keep them from impairing it. And sometimes we have to terminate people who weaken, or even poison, the office environment. We are very sorry that you experienced Tobin as a "toxic environment.' Best wishes to you as you find your way in your career
